I've just finished a major overhaul of this add-on to work with PS 3.62. It integrates seamlessly into the manager area as well as the storefront. It actually works in a similar manner to the RM, but it is totally separate. I'm going to start working on a box that will display the running total of all of the options that you have selected so that the client can see the total before adding it to the cart. You can check out the demo and purchase here if you are interested. I am in the testing process now so there still may be some coding issues, but I think it is fully functional. Please let me know if there is anything else you would like to see with this add-on.

****UPDATE******

I've added the Total Price display box that will show the client the final price of the print with the options before it is added to the cart. You can see it at the link above.

Hello Josh,
I tried the demo at your site, but I get every time I change a option a message popup with most times the URL and a value like 0, 9 or soome prices on screen. And I could only select the print as black and white and the size.

I am using a Mac and browse with Safari 3.1.2.

Maybe some incompatibilities with JavaScript?

Allo,

I also tried your demo and I get a message like « www.yoursite.com says : 0 ».

I am also with a mac but browse with firefox 2.0.0.16

Your add-on seem very interesting, can’t wait to see it work.

Good luke

Sorry everyone who tried the demo....I was in the middle of updating the script for some pretty exciting new features. If you try it again you will see the working demo.

The newest feature is an AJAX powered linked drop-down system. This code will dynamically populate the options you have created only for the selected print or product. Now you can have different priced options for each print or product.

For example, let's say you sell a 4x6 and a 5x7 print on your site. You would like to have the client choose the paper type on which it is printed. One of the options is a metallic paper which will tack on an additional charge when selected. When the user selects a 4x6, the metallic option will show at 2.00. When the user selects a 5x7, the option will show at 3.00. The best thing about this is that since it is AJAX powered there is no page refresh when a user selects different prints or products.

In the past this add-on would only allow you to assign one price for each option no matter the print or product chosen so this is a great improvement. It does take a little work on the back-end for you to add all of the options, but it is well worth the effort in order to create a clean user interface.

Please let me know if you have any other features you would like to see with this add-on in the future.

Thanks. I have both 3.62 and 3.63 versions available.

This probably would have to be something added to the gallery pages. So maybe you would see a checkbox next to each of the thumbnails that say add to cart. Then when submitted a pop-up window will show different options that can be selected for all the photos selected.

I don't think there is a good way to add this to the Print Options Add On and still preserve its functionality. I will explore the options and see if there is a good way to accomplish this.

For those looking for a demo go Print Options Demo. It is updated for PS 3.63.

Very good job, Josh. Now it works fine with Safari without any errors on my Mac.

Does this add-on give the photographer that is uploading photos, the option to select what styles he wants to sell? Right now, if a photographer added a picture, he is not given an option of picking if he wants prints made or not?

At this point, this add-on has not been tested for the photographer add-on compatibility or functionality because I don't have this add-on installed on my site. It is something I want to look at in the future, but I know that the way PS is configured it will take a lot of additional coding to make this happen.

Dwayne- click HERE for the add-on. I just transferred to a new domain.
