Settings > Website Settings

This area in your manager allows you to configure your store. There are several tabs and areas to configure, we will cover them below.

 
General Settings
Website Status: Use this to turn on/off your store front, and display a message if you wish to turn it off.
Site Title: This is the title of your site.
Site Description: This is the description of what your site is or about what you sell. This is used in search engines to help place your site in it's indexes. Think about what phrase people may type to visit your site.
Site Keywords: Enter keywords here, these are used by search engines to help place your site in it's indexes. Think of what people would type in to find your site.
Use Media Info for Metatags: Put a check in this box if you wish to allow the media details page to use the title, keywords, and description of the media instead of the ones listed above. It is recommended that you check this for better placement of your site in search engines.
Email A Friend: Allow users or guest email a link to the media details on your site to other users. This doesn't actually copy the media and email it, it sends a link to the media details page in which the person getting the link will have to click on to view it on your site. This is good to have turned on as it allows users to share your media with others and it will force the others to come to your site to look at it.
Enable Subscriptions: Put a check in this box if you wish to allow users to use subscriptions to download media from your site. If you turn this on then you will want to visit the Settings -> Subscriptions area to create subscriptions for users to signup for and use.
Ratings: Allow visitors to rate your media.
Enable Support Tickets: Check this to allow members to submit support tickets if they have issues. You will then be able to use the User -> Support Ticket area to answer those tickets and help them.
Comment System: Check this box to allow members or guest to leave comments on media in your store.
Community Tagging: Check this box to allow members or guest to leave tags on media in your store.
Lightboxes: Check this box to allow members or guest to create lightboxes on your store.
Showcase Contributors: Put a check in this box to turn on the showcased contributor area.
IMPORTANT: You must also make sure to set some of the members as showcased for them to show in this area. If you do not showcase any members then this area will be blank.
Commission on Credits: Use this setting to set how much of a commission should a contributor get if someone uses credits to make a purchase of their item.
Commission on Subscription Downloads: Use this to set how much commission a contributor will earn from when a subscriber downloads their item using a download limit in their account.
Submit By CD/DVD: Check this option if you wish to allow contributors to send in CD's or DVD's with photos on it so you can upload it for them. 
IMPORTANT: When you get the CD's or DVD's of media, you can upload the media to the assets/contributors/contrxxxx folder using an FTP client (xxxx being the contributors ID number in the store (see members area for ID)). Once uploaded there, the contributors will see it in their account in which they can now import, title, keyword, etc.. 
News RSS: Check this to allow RSS feeds of your news articles.
Gallery RSS: Check this to allow RSS feeds of your galleries.
Featured Media RSS: Check this to allow RSS feeds of your featured media area.
New Items RSS: Check this to allow RSS feeds of your newest media added to the store.
Popular Items RSS: Check this to allow RSS feeds of your popular media on your store.
Records: This is the amount of items shown in the RSS feed list.
IMPORTANT: Some of the areas above will only be visible if you have purchased the addon. Example you must purchase the RSS addon in order to see the RSS settings.

 
Store / Cart
Shopping Cart: Use this to determine how the shopping cart will function. Example you can do currency, credit, or both. You can even turn it off if you wish to just use the store as a gallery and no selling of items. If you turn on credits you will see an area popup next to this setting that will allow you to select what types of items you sell can be sold using credits.
Order Number Type: You can configure the internal order number the store uses when creating orders. This can be a sequential number or a random one.
Mini Cart: Enable this to bypass users having to go to the cart page each time they add an item to the cart.
Signup Required: You can put a check in this box to force users to signup as a member to your site in order to make a purchase.
Purchase Agreement: Put a check in this box if you wish to force people to agree to a purchase agreement in order to purchase from your site.
Request VAT ID Number: Turn this on if you are in a country that requiers companies to submit VAT ID's.
Customer Notes: Turn this on if you wish for customers to be able to put notes into the order that you get from them.
Delete Abandoned Carts: You can set when the store will delete abandonded carts in your store. Example if someone added items to the cart and then left your store and never returned.
Download Expiration: This is the amount of time after the order was placed that the download will expire on.
Download Attempts: This is the amount of times the customer is allowed to try and download their items they have purchased.
Auto Approve Orders: Check this if you wish for your store to auto approve all orders, providing that the payment gateway reported back that the order was successfully paid for.
Default Price: If you do not enter in a price on an item, it will take this default price.
Minimum Subtotal: You can set this to force users to purchase at least the minimum amount entered here before they can checkout.
Default Credits: This is the amount of credits an item will cost if you do not specify the amount for that item.
Skip Shipping: Put a check in this box to not charge shipping for any items that has to be shipped if purchased with credits.
IMPORTANT: Some areas above will not be shown unless the addon was purchased. Example the credit settings will not show unless the credits addon is purchased.

 
Contact Info
Support Email: This should be set to an email address you wish to get support emails to.
Sales Email: This should be set to an email address you wish to get sales emails to.
Business Name: Set this to your business name, if you do not have one, you can use your name.
Business Address: Set this to your business address or your address.
Business City: Set this to your business city or your city.
Business Country: Set this to your country or your business country.
Business State / Province: Set this to your business state / province or your state / province.
Business Zip: Set this to your zip / postal code or your business zip / postal code.

 
Notifications
New Orders: Check this box if you would like to be notified when new orders are created.
New Accounts: Check this box if you would like to be notified when new accoutns are created.
Member Info Update: Check this box if you would like to be notified when members update their profiles.
New Ratings: Check this box if you would like to be notified of new ratings are submitted.
New Tags: Check this box if you would like to be notified when new tags are submitted.
New Comments: Check this box if you would like to be notified when new comments are submitted.
New Lightboxes: Check this box if you would like to be notified when new lightboxes are created.
Contributor Uploads: Check this box if you would like to be notified when a contributor uploads new media to your store. 
IMPORTANT: Some of the above settings may not show if the addons for them are not installed on your store.

 
Registration
Signup Form Captcha: Put a check in this box if you would like to have captcha turned on. This will force the person signing up to enter in a code to prove they are human.
Require Email Confirmation: Turn this on if you wish to verify that the email people enter to signup with is real. 
Registration Fields: Use this area to turn on or off various fields for registration. You can even force some to be required.
Memberships: Put a check in this box to display available membership plans to the users that are signing up.

 
Search Setup
Search: Put a check in this box to turn on the search area to allow users to search for media in your store.
Fields: Put a check in this box to allow users to narrow their searches by selecting various fields they wish to search.
Types: Put a check in this box to allow users to narrow their searches by selecting the type of media they are searching for.
Orientation: Put a check in this box to allow users to search based on orientation of the media (landscape or portrait).
Color: Put a check in this box to allow searches based on color.
Dates: Put a check in this box to allow users to search based on date ranges.
License Type: Put a check in this box to allow users to search based on the type of license.
Galleires: Put a check in this box to allow users to search based on the galleries.

 
Members
Member Avatars: You can click on the related option button to expand the settings. From here you can adjust the filesize allowed for the avatar, and also the format it should be in.
Login Groups: If you have groups created, you can select what group(s) a member belongs to when they login.
Global Signup Groups: If you have groups created, you can select what group(s) a member belongs to when they signup.
Commission Payments: Put a check in this box to show contributors how you will be making payments to them on commission they earned. 

 
Invoice Setup
Invoice Number Prefix: You can use this to set a prefix on your invoice number.
Next Invoice Number: You can adjust what the starting or next number will be for your invoices. This area will not allow you to make the number smaller than what is already in the system.
Invoice Number Suffix: You can use this to set a suffix on your invoice number.
IMPORTANT: As you change these settings you will see a sample in the top left corner of this area.

 
Advanced Settings
Link to Forum: If you have a forum you run you can link to it. Enter the URL here and there will be a link on your store front that will allow people to visit your forum.
