About PHP![]() How do I find out which version of PHP I have?If you already have hosting or your own server then create a blank file named "phpinfo.php", put this code into it: <?php phpinfo(); ?>, upload this file to your webserver and run it in your browser (e.g. http://www.yourdomain.com/phpinfo.php). In the very first line it should say "PHP Version X.X.X", this will be the version number of PHP that is installed. If you have version 4.2 or higher you have the correct version to run Ktools.net software. If you have a version less than 4.2 contact your host and ask them to upgrade your version of PHP. This page will also display information about register_globals and safe_mode. How can I install PHP?You can only install PHP if you're running your own server. If you're hosted by a webhost you will have to contact them and ask to have PHP installed for you or choose another host. Please do not contact Ktools.net for instructions on how to install PHP. You can find information on the internet related to installing PHP by doing a search on google.com or another popular search engine. Will Ktools.net install PHP for me?No. Installing server modules or software is not our area of expertise. This will have to be done by a server administrator or your webhost. Please do not contact us to install PHP. I am totally lost. Can you help me find out if PHP 4.2 or higher is installed on my hosting?Yes. Just send a request thru our hosting check page and we can find out if your hosting meets the minimum requirements for the software. |
